USR Cloud only supports displaying data of MODBUS RTU protocol, so serial devices need to support MODBUS RTU protocol.
1. When a DTU device fails to display “online” on the USR Cloud, first check if the device has successfully connected to the network. If the device has been properly connected to the network, the indicator "GPRS" will always be on.
If not, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem.
a. Antenna. Check if the antenna is connected and if the antenna is correct.
b. Check if the SIM card works properly. You can put the SIM card on the phone and test it, or change another SIM card.
c. After enter AT command mode, send “AT+CSQ” to query the signal strength. The signal strength is normally above 20 and the full value is 31.
(The AT command is followed by carriage return and then sent.)
2. USR Cloud
a. The device is not added on the cloud platform. Click add the device, please use ID to add devices, don't add via SN.
b. Problems with data templates. Please configure the slave address and templates according to the instructions in the cloud platform.
3. If the device has been successfully connected to the network, check that the device parameters are set correctly.
a. Whether the IP address and port number are correct. IP address: tcp.mp.usriot.com port:15000
b. Device ID and Communication code: Whether consistent with the cloud platform.
c. Whether the parameter setting in the device is successful. After setting the parameters, click Save Parameters and restart the device.
