The loopback test is using 1 PC to test the RS232 serial to Ethernet converters USR-TCP232-302.You can send the data with Ethernet and receive with serial port. And you also can send data with serial port and receive with Ethernet.

Before you start to test, you should disable your wireless network connection and turn off firewall in your PC.

Setup the IP address of your PC, we setup it as 192.168.0.201.It should be in same Net segment with USR-TCP232-302(default IP address 192.168.0.7). the subnet mask we use 255.255.255.0

Connect the module like this picture.

Open the USR M0 Series-V2.1.2.118.exe.click on search device

We searched the module which IP address is 192.168.0.7.You can configure the module with the part of the red block.

Open the software USR-TCP232-TEST.exe, set the “COMSettings” and the “NetSettings” according the Figure6.

(1) If your module works as client, your PC should work as server. And if your module works as server, Your PC should work as client.
(2) Your baudrate should be same.
(3) Client need a destination IP and Port which it is to connect.
If you configure all correctly. You can transmit data like this picture. If not, you should search In LAN again and configure the module again.
