February 6, 2026 Feedback from an AGV manufacturer: Why I chose USR-EG628 industrial PC

AGV Manufacturer for High-Temperature Warehouses

From a practical perspective, why do I choose USR-EG628 as the industrial PC? Here are the usage experiences from an AGV manufacturer.

AGVs are prone to crashes due to overheating during long-term operation. Frequent crashes of commercial industrial PCs can lead to task interruptions, especially in high-temperature workshops or continuous charging scenarios.

After using the industrial PC EG628,

● Spiral heat dissipation fins: Through the transparent observation window on the side of the chassis, I can see that the heat dissipation fins are arranged in a spiral shape, increasing the heat dissipation area by 30%. They work in conjunction with brushless fans to form a convection air duct.

● Real-time temperature monitoring: The LED indicator lights on the chassis display the temperature status intuitively through color changes (green light < 40°C / yellow light 40-60°C / red light > 60°C). Without connecting to a computer, I can determine whether there is any abnormal heat dissipation.

Upon seeing this design, I immediately believed it could withstand the 50°C high temperature in the workshop during summer, eliminating my worries about heat dissipation issues. The final result was as I expected.

An E-commerce Warehouse Manufacturer

There was once an incident where an e-commerce warehouse experienced a communication interruption of AGVs, resulting in the collective "strike" of 200 AGVs during the Double 11 shopping festival, with over 100,000 packages backlogged. The industrial computers previously used by the manufacturer (the brand is kept confidential for commercial reasons) from other companies suffered from interface looseness, electromagnetic interference, or protocol incompatibility, leading to communication interruptions with the dispatch system (such as WMS/WCS). The vibrations during AGV operation caused interface looseness, triggering communication interruptions or data loss.

After using the industrial PC EG628,

● Shock-resistant screw fixation: The RJ45 network port and USB interfaces adopt an embedded design and are secured with shock-resistant screws, ensuring they do not loosen even during severe AGV vibrations (such as when crossing speed bumps).

● Interface cover plates: Unused interfaces are equipped with magnetic cover plates to prevent metal debris or oil from entering, avoiding the risk of short circuits.

I used to be tormented by interface looseness issues, but now seeing the shock-resistant design of EG628 is like having "double insurance" for the equipment.

A Food Manufacturer

A food manufacturer experienced an incident where an AGV collided with a shelf due to obstacle avoidance failure, knocking down a worker and causing a fracture. The enterprise was fined and ordered to suspend production for rectification. The plastic casing of ordinary industrial PCs is prone to deformation, resulting in high repair or compensation costs.

After selecting the industrial PC EG628,

● Full metal armor: The 2mm thick aluminum alloy chassis feels heavy in the hand. Pressing the casing with my hand causes no deformation. It complies with the IP65 protection rating, resisting dust and water splashes.

● Corner bumpers: High-elastic rubber pads are embedded in the four corners of the chassis. Even if the AGV collides with a shelf or wall, they can buffer the impact force and protect the internal components.

● Embedded reset button: The reset button is hidden in a groove on the side of the chassis and requires a screwdriver to press, preventing workers from accidentally triggering a device restart.

● Button resistance design: Approximately 2N of force is required to press the button, accompanied by a crisp "click" sound to confirm a successful operation.

At first glance at EG628, the matte texture of the thickened aluminum alloy casing conveyed a signal of "reliability". It weighs nearly twice as much as an ordinary industrial PC, indicating solid material usage. The corner bumpers and neatly arranged heat dissipation fins give it the image of a "tough guy" that can withstand damage even if the AGV rushes around the workshop, directly dispelling my concerns about equipment durability. This "hardcore" texture makes me dare to confidently install it on the AGV—after all, the repair cost of a single fall might be equivalent to the cost of 10 devices. The button resistance design ensures that I don't have to worry about accidents caused by misoperations during AGV operation. The buttons on EG628 give me complete peace of mind.
