The as yet untitled, will be open-source operating system, the device will help to quickly perform simple tasks without human intervention. For example, the system can direct light shining locks and open automatically when a person home. Details will be announced next month Samsung Developers Conference in San Francisco on.
A technical workshop on the agenda of the General Assembly show, “Samsung will announce our new open source real-time operating system of internet of things (RTOS), it has a rich set of features, but also can run efficiently, yet lightweight.”
Real-time operating system can quickly process data, almost no delay. Examples include Intel applied Mars Rover Mars probe VxWorks.

The move targets include the operating system to avoid fragmentation issues like mobile devices like. Fragmented systems, especially Android, raised a number of aspects of the problem, such as the interoperability of equipment, chip compatibility and deployment of software updates.
Samsung’s operating system of internet of things may be stripped-down version of Tizen, which has been used in Samsung’s Smart Watch and Smart TV. The company’s ambitious plans for a variety of internet of things home appliances, such as refrigerators, ovens, washing machines, light bulbs and so on. These appliances are likely to use Samsung’s new operating system.
Samsung also introduced Artik chip to support the development of smart devices. The operating system allows developers to connect to Samsung’s SAMI cloud platform, access analysis, security services and other functions. For example, the platform cloud services can decide whether to open an air conditioner according to data collected from smart meters, it can also analyze health information based on data collected over time.
The operating system may also require the development of compatible internet of things platforms like Google Brillo or ARM’s mbed. Brillo has been supported by Intel Edison this development board.
