What is LTE?
LTE is short for Long Term Evolution. LTE is also known as 3.9G and with 100Mbps of data download capacity, which is seen as the dominant technology in the evolution from 3G to 4G.
When the 3GPP standardization organization first formulated LTE standards, LTE was positioned as an evolutionary upgrade of 3G technology. Later, the development of LTE technology has far exceeded the initial expectation. Both the system architecture and the transmission technology have been greatly improved compared with the original 3G system.
Strictly speaking, the LTE base version of release8/9 is a 3G enhancement, also known as 3.9G.
What is 4G LTE?
4G LTE is a joint name of network type of TD-LTE and FDD-LTE etc.
The maximum data transmission speed of 4G LTE is more than 100Mbps, which is 10,000 times of mobile phones and 50 times of 3G mobile phones. 4G phones can provide high-performance media content and become personal identification devices through ID applications. It can also support high-resolution movies and television shows, thus 4G LTE becomes a link in a new infrastructure that combines radio and communications.
4G LTE communication technology is not separated from the previous communication technology. It is based on traditional communication technology and USES some new communication technologies to continuously improve the network efficiency and function of wireless communication. If 3G can provide a high-speed wireless environment, 4G LTE will be an ultra-high-speed wireless network, a cable-free information superhighway that will allow phone users to connect wirelessly and virtually in three dimensions.
