Case of Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Monitoring

Background

As the government, enterprises and social communities pay more and more attention to the safety and environmental protection of the pipelines, the inspection, especially the leakage detection, is becoming increasing important. During detection, workers often cannot reach some pipelines, such as highways, courtyard with locked doors, pipelines hanging under the bridges, flower gardens, over the rivers, high rises, in rooms and other locations which are hard to reach.

 

Components:

Monitoring center:

         Main hardware: firewall, server, computer, switch, printer

         Main software: PUSR cloud (email alarming, configuration demonstration, data curve analysis and derived data-sheet)

         Communication network: 4G mobile network

         Meter reading terminal: Industrial cellular modem USR-G786

         Measurement devices: pressure panel meters, fuel gas flow-meters, temperature panel meters and combustible gas detector.

System functions

1. Detection: collect data including pipeline pressure, temperature, flow, gas leakage and battery voltage

2. Data report: the collected data is automatically reported to the monitoring center; support regularly report and report of ultra-limit data.

3. Monitoring and alarming functions: When the monitoring center detects abnormal data, it will prompt a reminder and notify the person in charge by email to improve the timeliness of the alarm.
