5G is the fifth generation of mobile networks, which function is far beyond the former generation of mobile networks. 5G will level up the function of mobile networks. 5G is not only making the connection between people, but also make the connection between machine, object, and terminal.

 

Same as 2G, 3G, and 4G mobile network, 5G network is a digital cellular network. The advantage of 5G lies in its speed is far beyond the former cellular network. The bandwidth of 5G is up to 10Gbps which is faster than the current network and 100 times faster than 4G LTE cellular network. Another advantage is low network delay(fast response time), lower than 1MS, while 4G is 30-40MS.

 

Thanks to faster data transfer, 5G networks will not only serve mobile phones but will also become home and office network providers, competing with cable providers. Previous cellular networks provided low data rate Internet access for mobile phones, but a cell tower could not provide enough bandwidth economically as a general Internet provider for home computers.

 

The new 5G wireless devices also have 4G LTE capabilities, because the new networks use 4G to create connections to cellular networks, and 4G mobile network will be used where 5G mobile network cannot reach.
